Lesnaya 7 is a TRULY SPECIAL PLACE in tune with its beautiful surroundings. It is also know as – SURYA NAMASKAR HOSTEL – to the sunlight flooding it in the morning and calling the early risers to greet the new day and set out to explore Baikal’s scenic trails.
We tried to do our best to create an atmosphere of tranquility and rest and make it a perfect getaway from the turmoil of the city.

Bolshie Koty has an irresistible charm of its own, with free-roaming cows and horses being its only traffic. The tiny village is REACHABLE only BY BOAT or an 18-KILOMETER WALK along the fabulous Baikal shore.

HOW TO GET :
FROM IRKUTSK: CENTAL BUS TERMINAL take minibus to LISTVAYNKA (about 1.5 hours trip, minibuses run all day long, 140 R one way).
Attention! Before hike to Bolshie Koty you have to obtain the National Park permit. The office is located at Gorkogo street, 2 – on the right side of the main road from Irkutsk. It costs 90 rub per person per day. It the office is closed just take a picture of locked door to improve it for Nat’l park ranger.
SUMMER
In Listvyanka you can take a regular boat (“Voskhod”, goes on schedule*, about 30 minutes trip) or walk by foot.
BY FOOT It will take you about 4-6 hours (18 km). In Listvyanka you start from Gudina street. The road will change into a forest path which will lead you directly to Bolshie Koty village.
Our address in the village – Lesnaya, 7. (You will see the sign on the gate).
PLEASE NOTE: Don NOT start your way from Listvyanka on the coastline – it will lead you to a dangerous path – so it’s necessary to walk along Gudina street.
